Sue Lafferty, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist and Life Coach
Professionally, I earned my doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University. I have been in private practice for 24+ years. I use a variety of techniques with my clients, including cognitive-behavioral skills, psychodynamic techniques, “parts” work, light therapy, EMDR, and coaching skills.
I have given many workshops which have helped individuals deal with relationships, becoming happier and creating a plan for the future. Working with groups is very exciting. Participants have appreciated the opportunity to grow and change in meaningful ways.
I bring many years of growth and change in my own life to my work. I do my best to live what I teach. I feel very blessed that my clients trust me and allow me to share their lives at such a deep level. I have a spiritual and ethical commitment to this work I love.
I work with individuals and couples to create a happier, more fulfilling life and relationships. My work with each client is collaborative. We work together to discover which techniques work best for you.
Personally, I am married to Philip Osborne, Ph.D., a marriage and family therapist. We share an office suite and sometimes collaborate working with individuals and couples. My son and daughter are adults living in other areas. I am active in several community organizations and a faith community. I feel a strong commitment to my community and making our world a peaceful, safe place for all of us.
